Amalie is a baby.

Recently, Amalie distinguishes between English and Japanese in writing. In Japanese books, lots of times they were all mixed in. It's quite amazing. So, I said

"WOW! You are really bilingual".

and, she replied to me with a terrible three year old yell,

"NOOOO! Amalie is a bunny".

I just couldn't hold laughing. Then she goes seriously,

"It's not funny. NOoot! NOoottt! Amalie is ..... more a baby".

This is all about in her mind. She needs to be the most difficult and dramatic person to make me suffer on purpose, but she has to be a baby, yet. I guess we should enjoy the baby Amalie as long as possible until she gets annoyed by us.



ここ数ヶ月前から、海璃は日本語と英語の読み分けができるようになりました。ごちゃごちゃに混ざっていても、「これ、えいご」「これ、にほんご」と、カタカナも漢字もあるのに我が子ながら感心。

「あまりちゃん、本当にバイリンガルなんだね。」と言うと、

反抗心ムキムキで、

「ノォー！ノーオォ！あまり、バニーちゃん。」

そして、ヒーヒー笑っていた私に

「イッツ・ノット・ファニー。ノッ！ノッ！あまり、もっとベイビー。」

全身全霊込めて反抗している海璃にまじめに対応しなくてはと分かってはいるんだけど笑ってしまう私。そして、タフな彼女を演じている海璃も結局はもっとベイビーでいたいらしい。



いいよ。ずうっとベイビーでいて。
