Blue sky!
Since last year, it’s been really cold and wet. We sometimes still have heat on.
We spent all afternoon outside. We did some gardening until Ryan came home-Amalie has some special projects with water and sand. Then I went for a run around the lake while Ryan took Amalie to the George Roger’s Park where I met them after running. I’ve been running 5 to 6 miles twice a week, and I am not eating junk. However, I gained more weight! That depresses me…….Ever since I stopped nursing Amalie, I am 8 lb heavier than I was. How can I be lighter and feel normal again? (I get tired very easily and I have low energy)……Well, anyway its blue sky, not raining.
青空！
去年からずうっと寒くて、雨ばかりで、いまだに暖房をつけているくらいの初夏。やっぱり、ぽかぽかの春、さわやかな五月晴れ、梅雨、そしてうだる様な夏が来ないと私の体には夏がきません。
でも、今日は、ライアンが帰ってるまでガーデニング。海璃もお水と砂でお仕事。
夕方には湖3/4週（9km）のジョギング。週２回走って、あんまり食べないようにしているのに最近、さらに２kg増です。体が重くて何をするのも億劫だし、疲れるし、身軽になりたぁい。どうしたらいいのやら・・・
長い道のり・・・ /long way to go

Scissors Debut
初めてはさみを持たせてあげました。
正午から夜の８時まで、切り続けました。途中いっしょにニョッキを作ったり、テレビを見たり、夜ごはんを食べたりしましたが、まるでお仕事ご苦労様です。
Amalie’s first day of using scissors. She wasn’t quite coordinated at first, but after 5 hours (!), she was a pro. She wanted a hand massage when I took her to the bed.

生意気ちゃんに拍車がかかってきました。
最近、私のことを遠くから呼ぶときは「ムゥ－！カモ－ン！」です。ちなみにおとといぐらいから、結構適格な場面で「オウマイグッドネス！」とおしゃってます。

Amalie is growing up. She calls me “Mu~! Come-on!”
Besides that, she started saying “Oh, my goodness!” very appropriately.

05-24-2008 Sat
ファーマーズマーケットが始まったので行ってみました。が、今年は寒すぎてお目当てのお野菜は全く何もありませんでした。
久しぶりの青空で、海璃とライアンは近くの小学校に遊びに行きました。三輪車は気の長そうで長くないライアンにはとてもつらく、帰りは三輪車＆ヘルメットごと脇に抱えられてきました。海璃はずっと、「Fry!Fry!」と鳥のように腕をバタバタして飛んできました。猫には「No!No! ねこ、ダメよ。」とカツを入れつつ。
We went down to the farmer’s market, but there were no vegetables due to the extremely cold weather.
Amalie and Ryan went to Hallinan School by tricycle. It’s too slow for inpatient Ryan. Ryan carried Amalie on the tricycle back from school. She loves to fly on it like a bird. It’s something else….not really bike ride, is it?

今日から、ライアン４連休。５月２６日は元旦以来の国民の祝日、メモリアルデー。半年も連休がないから、木曜日に帰ってきたら両手を振り上げて『4 days off!』と叫んでいました。
早速今日はCordon Bleuにランチに行きました。学校が経営しているレストランなので、正式フレンチながら海璃を連れていても大丈夫なカジュアルさで私達のお気に入りです。今日は海璃もきちんとナフキンを膝にのせて、グラスでお水をのんで、“シルバーフォーク”でパスタをくるくるなぞしていました。前回はナフキンはブランケットって呼んでいたけど・・・
ランチの後は、海璃の大好きな‘ガタゴト‘（路面電車）で移動しながらダウンタウンをショッピングしました。
4 days off for Ryan.
We had our lunch at Cordon Blue restaurant in downtown. Although they are a formal French restaurant, they are pretty casual and friendly for families with kids. We love it. Amalie enjoyed the whole thing as well. She put her napkin on her lap, used a fancy glass, and used a ‘silver fork’ to twist the pasta side dish. Last time we were there, she thought the napkin was her blanket.
We hopped on the street car to enjoy shopping for rest of the afternoon.
