Kichen Remodel Update vol.9.-Temporary Kitchen-

This is our new temporary kitchen. Two formerly upper cabinets stuck on top of each other in the corner of the kitchen. I do dishes in the bathroom sink. FYI, I clean the sink before using it for food and dishes, and the sponge is for kitchen use only.

取り壊したキャビネットを重ねて、お鍋やら粉類やらその他もろもろ収納。お皿洗いは洗面所で。もちろんスポンジはキッチン専用！リビングにも食器やカラトリーを収納していて、初めの、2，3日はウオサオ。一日中食事を用意して、洗い物をするような生活ぶり。不便だぁ！

Kichen Remodel Update vol.8-Demo ALL GONE-

The main reason of getting everything new is the smell of this old house. It's probably because the previous owner never cleaned anything anywhere, as well as the age of the house (built in 1952). We even decided to replace the floor under the cabinet.

なんたって1952年に建ったお家。私たちの前の住人の不潔さも加わり、どうしても気持ち悪くて、どうしても我慢できなくて、基礎の床を残して全て取り替えることにしました。

Before the sink, dishwasher and the counter-top is gone, I cooked a few days worth of meals. Tons of rice, egg drop spinach sweet and sour soup, carrot portage, coleslaw, fried chicken and cauliflowers, yakitori chicken, beef and green peppers, daikon radish salad, spinach, and pickled vegetables.

全てがなくなる前に最後の悪あがき。チキンのから揚げとカリフラワーのカリカリ揚げ、焼き鳥、チンジャオロースー、ほうれん草の御浸し、大根サラダ、コールスロー、野菜のピクルス、にんじんのポタージュ、ほうれん草と卵の中華スープ、そしてお鍋いっぱいの白米。ラザニアは冷凍してあるし、紙皿、紙コップも買っておいた。どうにか、無事に食いつなげますように。

Kichen Remodel Update vol.7.-Paint-

I look really mad, but I am really concentrating, so I don't miss spots. The thing on my head is Amalie's old skirt. I don't know why, but usually after painting ceilings and walls, my head is covered with paint.

仏頂面の私。塗り残しがないように、マッハのスピードで手を動かしつつも真剣。なぜかいつも髪の毛にペンキがついてしまうので、アマリの古いスカートでほっかむり。

We chose the color of pure white. It was platinum before. It took 4 coats of primer and paint to make it back to ultra white. phewwww~
真っ白にしました。プラチナ色だったからか下地を塗った後ペンキも3回塗らないと純白にならなくて丸2日格闘。フ~。
