お天気に恵まれて、アメリカ暮らし初のお花見が出来ました。余りにもすばらしく、パーフェクトな満開度なのでこんなにもたくさん写真を載せてしまいます。櫻のにおい、その空気、もう全てが実家のそばの桜並木を思い出させてくれて満足。満足じゃ~。駅に行くまでに何本もある櫻の並木道、当たり前のように通学したりしていたけど、今となってはそんなの背伸びしてもなかなか手に入らない環境でした。桜が散って、生暖かい風が吹く東京の春、少しホームシックです。ちなみに、我が家は２夜連続でディナーピクニックいたしました。２日目は寒くてダウンジャケット着用で。
Unbelievably, we had perfect weather for cherry blossoms. We had a picnic dinner two days in a row at a park memorializing WW2 Japanese internment camps. The scene was just perfect. The colors, smell, air.....everything reminded me of my home. The streets near my home in Tokyo are full of cherry blossom trees on the way to the train station. When I was a student, I was in too much of a hurry to even realize the blossom season, and in rainy Portland, I never thought I would see it happen here. Anyway, I had two lovely dates with Ryan and Amalie.
