Kichen Remodel Update vol.4.-Beam is up-

The beam is in.  It was super hard to putting this in our house.  It weighs tons.  Several times, I thought we would break our house, or I would get killed by it.  We pushed it up halfway through, but it didn't go anywhere.  When Ryan ran to get big help from our nicest neighbor, the beam rested on top of the refridge and my shoulder.  I was breathing like mosquitoes.  Anyway, it's up!  Ryan handmade this beam with two reasons.  It's expensive to buy one from the lumber store, and those ones don't match what we already have in our living room.  I'm excited about the look of different colored wood in between the two beams.  I haven't decided to dye it whitish or dark...what do you think?

柱と壁を全部取り払って、梁が入りました。梁は市販のものを材木屋さんから購入すると高いのと、家に現在ある梁との仕上がりが違ってしまう理由で手作りです。本来、屋根裏や軒下に入れる物なので、丈夫ですが、取り付けるのに一苦労どころか、死に物狂いでした。半端じゃない重さで。近所のお友達に手伝ってもらって男二人、微力な私、そして車のジャッキまで出動でした。子供達は、またもや避難。さて、仕上げはどうしよう。まだ、白めに染めるか、黒めに染めるか決めていません。キッチンが仕上がってから決めようと思います。
