Pants to Shorts.

I have had these pants for over 20 years!  It's 50% silk and 50 % linen, and they cost over $100!  There is no way I want to spend this much for me at this point in my life...Through out my life, still now?, my aunt takes me clothes shopping, when it happens she buys super nice things.  I couldn't get these pants out of my closet, although I grew a bit, and they became ankle length. So, I cut them.  Then made side and back pockets.  Here they are: new cargo shots.  I like this length since I am really short.  There is one more thing I want to do though.  The waist is high, so I want to lower it.  I'm thinking about having my mom do it next time she visits.   

高校生の時に叔母に買ってもらった、シルク５０％麻５０％のパンツ。一万円を超えていて高校生の私でも、えっ、いいの？と思ったくらい贅沢パンツ。はきこなして色もあせてしまったし、なにより背が少し伸びてアンクル丈になってしまったけど、捨てられずクローゼットに眠っていたので、20年越しに引っ張り出してリメイク。まず、裾を切って解体。そこで三つ折り縫いの部分はそのままポケットを4枚つくります。サイドポケットは蓋付きで。丁寧に縫いつけて、できあがり！７分丈のカーゴショーツ。ハイウエストに時代を感じますが、次に母が来た時に直してもらおう。勝手に人任せな仕上げですが・・・。
