So, no drop cloth, no paint tray, just mix red and cream paint together on junk mail over some newspaper, then paint a dollar store wreath pink. Is it supposed to be a wreath material? Anyway, I love this. So much potential for any projects.
もうひとつの手作りプレゼントは、お姫様キャノピーベッド。これは、娘が冬休みに入る前の学校に行っている午前中に製作するしかなくて、怪獣ベイビーが暴れる合間に運が良ければ一時間あるかないかの時間との戦いでした。
なので、そこにあった新聞の上で、そこにあったジャンクメールをパレットに、赤とオフホワイトのペンキを適当に混ぜてとにかく塗ります。このリース（？）は1ドルショップで購入。本当は何をする物なんだろう。
Hang to dry. I used a hair dryer to speed up the process. When it's dry, secure the string to three spots, so it is level.
紐に吊って乾かします。急ぐ私はドライヤーを使用。乾いたら、3点が平行になるように紐を固定します。
This is a pair of curtains from IKEA. I think it was $15, but I got it for $5 when it was on clearance. I threaded a nice off-white satin ribbon through the two curtains.
ホットピンクのカーテンはIKEAにて定価15ドルの物をセールで5ドルで購入。すでにカーテンレール用のループが付いているので、2枚続けてサテンのリボンを通します。
I had to play for a while to figure out how to make roses out of silk organza. They don't need to be perfect.
シルクのオーガンジーでバラを作ります。最初、布の配分やら分量やら四苦八苦したけど、どうにか出来ました。パーフェクトじゃなくて良し。
Now, tie the ribbon which is holding the pair of curtains. Put a wreath under the fabric. Then, sew the two curtains together in front and back around the wreath. Attach all roses and ribbons.
ループに通したリボンをぎゅっと結んで、その輪に通すように、ピンクに縫ったリースをくぐらせます。リースの前と後ろの切れ間を繋がるように縫って、先程作っておいたリボンやバラを縫い付けます。
We hung this on Christmas eve night. Pink room, pink birds, pink cushions, pink canopy. My little girl's dreamy room.
クリスマスの朝どれだけ驚くだろうと思って、イブの夜中に取り付けました。ピンクのお部屋にピンクの鳥、ピンクのクッションにピンクの天蓋。私の小さなお姫様、喜んでくれたかな。
