No dog poo sign.

At 11:00 pm, I went outside and picked this milk carton from our recycle bin.  And, I washed it really well. 

夜11時、急に思い立ってミルクのカートンをリサイクルボックスから拾う。１ガロン、約４リットル、アメリカサイズです。

Then, I cut out these two pieces.

きれいに洗って、こんな二つの形を切り抜きました。

While I watched my favorite TV show, I drew these.  They are supposed to be a Bulldog and a Scottie, although they don't even look like dogs.

お気に入りのテレビをみながら、お絵かき、お絵かき。ブルドッグとスコティッシュ・テリアのつもりですが、犬にもみえないかも。絵の描けない元美大生です。

 

The next morning, I pulled out construction wire, and I started playing.  I never used wire as material for anything.  I thought that it looks easy, but it's actually difficult.

翌朝、工事用のワイヤーを引っ張り出してきて、こうしてみたり、ああしてみたり、試行錯誤の繰り返しで、

  

Right before lunch, the sign is finished.

お昼前に、やっとできたのがこれ。ワイヤーって、簡単にみえて難しいんだな。

It's easy to stick in the ground and it bend a little back for viewing. 

ワイヤーなので、根の張った芝生にもすぐ刺さります。少し後ろに曲げて通行人から見やすくします。

 

Do you see the bald spot on the lawn?  Someone always leaves fresh dog poo there everyday.  I can't believe some dog owners don't even care.  I wanted to put the big commercial sign up, but it might be offensive, so the cute and little NO POO! sign is there, I hope it works.

芝が少し剥げている所、分かりますか？毎日、同じ場所でうんちをする犬がいるみたいで、毎日私が掃除してはいるものの、ついに剥げてきてしまいました。市があちこちに無料でビニール袋を設置してるのに、マナーの悪い飼い主さん達が多いです。道ならまだしも、家の敷地内ですよ。大きな看板を取り付けようかとも思うけど、えげつないので、ちょっとキュートなサインにしました。効き目がありますように！
