Handmade piggy and night gown.

I'm trying to make handmade gifts for kids every Christmas.  This year, I decided to sew a night gown.  I bought the fluffiest and the softest fleece blanket for the material.  It was a mistake.  It's super hard to deal with.  It left white lint everywhere all over my body and house.  I had to have a vacuum next to me, so I could clean myself once in a while. 

今年のママの手作りプレゼントは、あったかい部屋着。布屋さんに行って色々と布地をみたけど欲しい感じの物がなくて、レジの横に積まれていた当日限定価格のとってもやわらかいふわふわのフリースのブランケットを発見。通常15ドルがなんと5ドルでした。が、しかし、切るのも、縫うのも、何をするのも、すごく大変だったー！伸びちゃうし、ほつれるし、ふわふわが全身、そして家全体に飛んでいくし、で、掃除機をかけながら四苦八苦。

そうだ、アマリの大好きなブタちゃんを作ろう。

The shape was like a pig.  Perfect!  Amalie is obsessed with piggies.  I made legs, ears, nose, tail....

I made some other stuff as well, and I could only work after she goes to bed at night.  My bed time before Christmas was literally 3 am every night.  However, it was worth it.  I love her smile!

このクリスマス、他にもいろいろ作って睡眠不足。子供達が寝てからの製作なので毎日寝るのは朝3時を過ぎていました。でも、この笑顔、かけがえのない一瞬、今しか味わえないんだよね。
